1ére Edition de Cathay Forum – 2014

Beijing welcomed the first edition of the Cathay Forum in 2014 with “Reinventing the border” as its umbrella theme.

Attendees made the journey from all over the world – Asia, North America and Europe – to converge on the symbolic location of Yishu 8, a prestigious Beijing arts house which was formerly the Sino-French University, and a series of renowned speakers took to the stage, attesting to the strength and dynamism of Cathay’s ecosystem.

The importance of the cross-border challenge featured high on the Forum agenda. The internationalisation of Chinese firms was addressed through a series of fluid and open exchanges: issues around sustainable investment and growth, maximizing financial and social value on a long-term basis, and building bridges between the West and China through business partnerships and joint ventures were given particular attention.
